DENIM & TWEED

Jeans are kind of like uncharted territory for me. When recently asked in an interview what my wardrobe staples are, I replied, "I have this dress that has a print of jaguars and cougars fighting each other on it that I'm wild about". There is a part of me that feels more comfortable and more like myself in an insane novelty print dress, as opposed to what I suppose are typical wardrobe staples such as a tweed blazer and a nice fitting pair of jeans. The day these photos were taken, I told Christina (my rad photographer-number one babe-friend) that I just didn't feel like I was on top of my game that day. I wonder if I would have felt more like myself in a silly vintage dress. Since then, I've grown to like the jeans quite a bit. I also really like this blazer. I'm not sure I'll wear them together again, though. The entire outfit feels way too safe for my liking. Good thing I threw in a fun kerchief and a skull tote to keep my sartorial spark in check!
